FCC Rejects Appeal Of License Cancellation For Albany, NY FM Translator

The FCC has denied an Application for Review by ALBANY BIBLE INSTITUTE of the 2007 cancellation of the license for FM translator W255AJ/ALBANY, NY.
The Commission's Media Bureau ruled that the station’s license had expired as a matter of law after being off the air for 12 consecutive months, and denied ABI's Petition for Reconsideration. After reviewing the record for the Application for Review, the Commission concluded that ABI failed to show error by the Media Bureau, which, the ruling said, "afforded ABI numerous opportunities to explain the Station’s extended silence and provide adequate justification for reinstatement of the license. ABI failed to avail itself of these opportunities."
