Music Choice Adds Millennial-Appeal Channels

MUSIC CHOICE is expanding its channel lineup to 50 channels effective DECEMBER 10th. The new channel lineup appeals to the network’s largest audiences including the growing number of Millennials, including Teen MC, Pop Rhythmic, Pop Country, Y2K and Love Songs.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to enhance our music experience while expanding our audience,” COO CHRISTINA TANCREDI said. “We know that 96% of millennials are happy with our Music Channels and hope that this strategic move increases that number to 100% in 2014.”
Also, other MUSIC CHOICE channels are undergoing name changes. MC Retro Rock & MC Classic Alternative becomes MC Rock Hits (TV-MA); MC True Country becomes MC Country Hits (TV-PG); and MC Dance Electronica becomes MC Dance/EDM (TV-MA).
MUSIC CHOICE Music Channels attract 47 million monthly viewers who watch on average 24 hours per week. The average consumer watches 3.4 hours per day and 72% watch with someone else.
