BIG MACHINE RECORDS’ TAYLOR SWIFT has been named 2013 “Tennessean Of The Year” by NASHVILLE’s “THE TENNESSEAN” newspaper.
“She’s one of the most dynamic and popular musical performers in the world, and she’s perceived as having universal appeal across categories. She transcends genres, and that’s a great thing for the city,” said NASHVILLE MAYOR KARL DEAN.
THE TENNESSEAN adds, “SWIFT has become a worldwide ambassador for TENNESSEE’s capital city, an example to millions of young (and not-so-young) people, and a financial booster to some of the city’s most important institutions.”
