The Forum's Rebirth Gets A Big Record

THE FABULOUS FORUM in LOS ANGELES is returning to live music action on JAN. 15th with the "History of THE EAGLES" concert. New owners MSG is kicking off the concert in grand style, by creating what it dubs "the world's largest vinyl record" of the band and placing it atop of THE FORUM's roof.
A 120-foot truss is filled in with 250,000 square feet of printed vinyl, which spins at 17 mph. The letters on the "album" are as large as those in the HOLLYWOOD sign.
This stunt was conceived and built by POP2LIFE President/CEO ERIC MURPHY and the creative team at POP2LIFE.
MURPHY told ALL ACCESS, "When we were asked to come up with an idea to help relaunch this legendary venue with one of the biggest bands of all time, we knew we had to do something extraordinary. THE EAGLES' iconic HOTEL CALIFORNIA record spinning on top of this iconic structure sends a clear message that THE FORUM is back, bigger and better than ever, and committed to being the best live music venue in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA."
One can only wonder what THE FORUM will do for the next big concert -- JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's "20/20 Experience World Tour" on JANUARY 20th.
