The FCC has proposed a $14,000 fine against KEMP BROADCASTING, INC. for tower lighting violations at the tower of Top 40/Rhythmic KVEG (HOT 97.5)/MESQUITE-LAS VEGAS in MOAPA, NV.
The Commission said that the tower had no flashing white lights on top of the tower, no white flashing lights on the 3/4 level, only one flashing white light at the 1/2 level, and, for nighttime, no flashing red lights on the 1/4 level. The agents also reported that the station had not filed a Notice to Airmen of the outage with the FAA as required.
