Quiet Day In The FCC Database
April 22, 2014 at 11:24 AM (PT)
After a busy day in the FCC database MONDAY, the action has calmed down for TUESDAY, with just a pair of Silent STA applications and a closing on the agenda.
In the filings, RISEN RADIO, INC. has requested a Silent STA for WRIM/COOKEVILLE, TN while it upgrades its tower.
THE ASSOCIATION FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATION, INC. has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for K291KX/REDMOND, OR while it buys and installs new equipment.
And FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator W221CT/ASHTABULA, OH to SPIRIT BROADCASTING LLC for $60,000.
Also, GALAXY COMMUNICATIONS has had its appeal of the denial of its application change the community of license of WTKV/OSWEGO, NY (simulcast of classic rock WTKW (TK99)/SYRACUSE) to MINETTO, NY dismissed as moot. The change was initially denied because the move would have put GALAXY over the ownership limit for the SYRACUSE metro, but a subsequent sale meant that the company can now add WTKV to the in-market cluster and still comply with the cap.
And the FCC has granted a new low power FM construction permit to TYGER RIVER RADIO at GREER, SC.
