FCC Database Quiet With Four Silent STA Filings
July 8, 2014 at 9:40 AM (PT)
The holiday weekend appears to have reduced the volume of filings in the FCC's database, at least temporarily, with today's listings including only a handful of Silent STA applications and one previously unreported closing.
Among the filings, FIRST DALLAS MEDIA, INC. has requested a Silent STA for KCRN-A/SAN ANGELO, TX due to weather damage to its transmitter.
COAST RADIO GROUP, INC. has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for KDLC/DULAC, LA while it awaits approval of its application to change the antenna location on its tower.
WESTPORT RADIO PARTNERS, LLC has asked for an extension of its Silent STA for WPLB/PLATTSBURGH WEST, NY while it works with a buyer to resume operations.
MARS HILL BROADCASTING CO., INC. has requested a Silent STA for W248BH/GATES, NY because it has lost its tower and needs to find a new location.
And WORD BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. has closed on the sale of Religion WKQA-A (formerly WYRM-A)/NORFOLK, VA to BOOTH - COBB MEDIA, LLC for $400,000.
