WILL FERRELL, star of “TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY,” joined the ACE & TJ Morning Show yesterday (8/14) to talk about the movie’s second #1 weekend at the box office.
This marks FERRELL's second visit to the WNKS/CHARLOTTE-based syndicated show. During the filming of the movie in CHARLOTTE, FERRELL visited ACE & TJ after the hosts launched an on-air quest called “Will Call.”
During yesterday's visit, FERRELL condided, “I feel like you guys were a good luck charm for us and the movie…I wanted to say thanks!” When asked about the criticism the movie has received from some Christian critics, FERRELL said, “Apparently, I’m CHRIST-o-phobic…but all the jokes are on RICKY BOBBY”.
When he was accused of being racist toward Southern white males, FERRELL replied, “I’m a product of the white Southern male…it’s just funny…it’s kinda funny that people come up with this crazy stuff.”
