Report: Apple To Buy News-Talk App Swell

RE/CODE is reporting that APPLE will buy SWELL, the iOS app that aggregates talk radio and podcast content into personalized streams, for about $30 million.  The deal would include shutting down the app and integrating "much" of the SWELL team into APPLE, RE/CODE added.

SWELL, the slogan of which is "News Radio Rebooted," would be the latest in a series of acquisitions of content delivery services APPLE has made in recent months, including BEATS and BOOKLAMP.
