WARNER BROS. RECORDS has upped DAVE DYER to SVP/Promotion.
"I'm delighted to announce that DAVE DYER has been promoted to Senior VP/Promotion at WARNER BROS. RECORDS," said EVP PETER GRAY.
"Since his arrival at WARNER BROS. RECORDS in 2010, DAVE has worked tirelessly to better the brands of our artists and company in the mainstream Top 40 arena -- and his results speak for themselves, with multiple #1 airplay hits from JASON DERULO, MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS, as well as a chart-topping debut for PASSENGER.
"DAVE's bold path to breaking new artists catapulted newcomers NICO & VINZ to #1 last SUMMER, and has positioned the newly platinum act ECHOSMITH for major stardom in 2015 and beyond.
"Prior to his role at WARNER BROS. RECORDS, DAVE was mentored by CLIVE DAVIS, RICHARD PALMESE, LA REID & STEVE BARTELS, which lead to his vast airplay success for many high-profile artists, including MAROON 5, PINK, USHER, ALICIA KEYS, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, PITBULL, KE$HA, OUTKAST, KELLY CLARKSON, KINGS OF LEON, CHRIS BROWN & JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, among others."
GRAY added, "His broadened role will allow DAVE to expand his reach into new areas of radio, as he'll work closely with me using his generous knowledge and influential relationships to support our strategies & campaigns throughout the mainstream airplay formats & their national programming initiatives. Please join me in congratulating DAVE on this befitting new appointment."
DYER commented: "(Chairman/CEO) CAMERON STRANG and PETER have created a dynamic and creative work environment designed to fuel passion while inspiring aggressive risk taking. Helping foster that unique corporate culture is a great honor. At its finest, Promotion is a team sport -- and I'd be remiss not to thank JOSH REICH, who is easily the hardest working promotion man in the business.
"Our team in the field has embraced our 'Work and Win as a Team' mentality and continues to push the boundaries of how and where radio and records can together find new and greater successes. All of our achievements start with them."
