My Morning Jacket, Sam Smith, Widespread Panic Top Louisville's Forecastle Festival

MY MORNING JACKET, GRAMMY-nominated SAM SMITH, WIDESPREAD PANIC and MODEST MOUSE are the headliners for LOUISVILLE's three-day THE FORECASTLE FESTIVAL set to take place JULY 17th-19th at WATERFRONT PARK. Other local bands such as CAGE THE ELEPHANT and HOUNDMOUTH add to the regional flavor of the FESTIVAL.
The family duo of WILCO frontman JEFF TWEEDY and his son SPENCER will showcase their recent collaboration as TWEEDY, while THE WORLD, featuring pedal steel virtuoso ROBERT RANDOLPH, B3 maestro JOHN MEDESKI and the NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARS will bring the gospel stylings of "Soul Food," their first album in 14 years, coming out MAY 5th. Other notable acts on the bill include TALLES MAN ON EARTH, PORTUGAL. THE MAN, RL GRIME, FIRST AID KIT, DESAPAREDICOS, SHOVELS & ROPE, BIG K.R.I.T. and many more. Additional artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
Weekend passes go on sale this FRIDAY, JANUARY 30th, at noon (ET) at ForecastleFest.com and all TICKETMASTER outlets. A limited number of weekend passes start at $144.50 plus fees. VIP experiences, travel packages and payment plan options will also be available.
