GREATER MEDIA Sports WPEN (97.5 THE FANATIC)/PHILADELPHIA's "The JON & SEAN Show" are "Striking Out Cancer" with a benefit on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7th from 3-6p (ET) at McFADDEN’s AT THE BALLPARK with proceeds going to THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA.
“Cancer has affected all of us, in some way”, said 97.5 THE FANATIC’s midday host JON MARKS. “It’s a fight we’re all a part of and we wanted to find a way to support people in that fight. So, we created what we hope to be an annual fundraiser for cancer charities.”
With help from all of the local sports teams and 97.5 THE FANATIC sponsors, there will be a silent auction featuring items from the NHL FLYERS like an autographed CLAUDE GIROUX stick and from the NBA '76ERS, an autographed NERLENS NOEL mini basketball. There will be an EAGLES EVAN MATHIS signed football and a RYNE SANDBERG autographed bat from the PHILLIES. CJ’S TIRE & AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES has also donated a set of four tires and oil changes for life to the silent auction.
Aside from JON & SEAN, 97.5 THE FANATIC hosts MIKE MISSANELLI, HARRY MYERS & PAT GALLEN as well as WMMR's PRESTON, STEVE, NICK and MARISA will also be on hand to sling beers along with PHILADELPHIA UNION TV analyst PETER PAPPAS, FOX 29 NEWS co-anchor CHRIS MURPHY and FOX GOOD DAY's MIKE JERRICK.
