Living up to yesterday's announcement (NET NEWS 2/5), iHEARTMEDIA officially flipped KHHT from Rhythmic Oldies HOT 92.3 to Urban REAL 92.3 this morning at 9:23a (PT), segueing from the former's final song, BOYZ II MEN's "The End of the World," to NICKI MINAJ's "Only," f/DRAKE, LIL WAYNE and CHRIS BROWN under the direction of SVP/Urban-Urban AC Programming DOC WYNTER.
The first 12 songs on "the new home of Hip-Hop and R&B for LOS ANGELES" continued its "10,000 Joints In A Row" stunting with a hometown flavor -- no on-air personalities, no commercials, just automated station IDs and mash-up promos -- playing NICKI MINAJ's "Truffle Butter" with DRAKE and LIL WAYNE. BIG SEAN's "I Don't Give A F**k," DR. DRE and SNOOP DOGG's "The Next Episode" (from DRE's "2001" album), LONG BEACH rapper O.T. GENASIS' "Coco," BEYONCE's "7/11," MIGOS' "Handsome and Wealthy," SCHOOLBOY Q's "Studio," DRAKE's "How Bout Now," RICK ROSS' "B.M.F.," featuring STYLES P, BEYONCE's "Partition" and KENDRICK LAMAR's "Trick Don't Kill My Vibe" w/JAY Z.
