INTERNATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT BUYERS ASSOCIATION (IEBA) has announced it will continue its SUMMER Internships Scholarship program, awarding $15,000 in scholarships to 10 students interning in the entertainment business this SUMMER.
“According to USA TODAY, the class of 2014 graduated with an average student loan debt of $33,000,” stated IEBA Exec. Dir. PAM MATTHEWS. “Saddled with that burden, students need assistance securing employment immediately upon graduation. Internships have proven to be a valuable step in achieving that goal and avoiding the financial and mental strain of floundering in the job market.”
IEBA’s annual ARTIST AUCTION funds its Educational Outreach programs, including the SUMMER Internship Scholarship program. Participating artists this year are THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, CHRIS YOUNG, and the SWON BROTHERS.
Each student chosen will receive an individual scholarship of $1,500. The deadline to apply is FRIDAY, APRIL 3rd. For more information, visit www.ieba.org.
