LC MEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic KQIE (Q104.7)/RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNADINO flips to Rhythmic AC as OLD SCHOOL 104.7 under the programming leadership of GOLD COAST VP/Programming & Operations BRIAN 'BIG BEAR' DAVIS.
LC MEDIA Pres. MILES SEXTON commented, "We are excited to bring this great format back to the INLAND EMPIRE and to continue to super serve local listeners who love this music. One of our affiliated companies currently has a similar format on our station in OXNARD-VENTURA (KOCP), which has become very popular since its debut last AUGUST. KQIE will continue to be custom programmed specifically for RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNARDINO. As a SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA owned company, we were able to make a decision quickly and we’re confident that the Old School format will excite listeners and advertisers in the INLAND EMPIRE."
DAVIS added, "As CALIFORNIA natives and people who grew up on this music, we know how it is built into the fabric of the communities we serve. The appeal of this music spans multiple generations and it is embraced by the vibrant culture that makes up the INLAND EMPIRE."
KQIE had been a music simulcast of GOLD COAST Top 40/Rhythmic KCAQ (Q104.7)/OXNARD-VENTURA. OLD SCHOOL 104.7 is currently running jockless.
