The internationally-reported story about a woman who donated a kidney to a stranger and ended up getting engaged to him has its genesis in a conversation the woman's mother heard on iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WHAS-A/LOUISVILLE's TERRY MEINERS AND CO. Show.
The LOUISVILLE COURIER-JOURNAL's recap of the story notes that KIM MCINTYRE heard MEINERS talking to the mother of DANNY ROBINSON, a then-25-year-old dialysis patient in need of a donated kidney. KIM told her daughter ASHLEY about it, and ASHLEY sent a FACEBOOK message to DANNY, leading to the donation.
Meeting shortly before the operations last APRIL, the two hit it off, and the relationship blossomed into romance and a CHRISTMAS engagement. The couple hasn't set a date for the nuptials yet.
