COX MEDIA Country KKBQ/HOUSTON Social Media Producer/air personality KATELYN MAIDA is headed to CUMULUS Country KSCS/DALLAS, where she’ll join MARK “HAWKEYE” LOUIS and “TRAPPER" JOHN MORRIS in mornings, using her air name, “CONNECTED K.”
“CONNECTED K is a great talent that will bring a social media flare, great artist connections and a terrific personality to our heritage morning show at KSCS,” said CUMULUS/DALLAS/FORT WORTH RVP DAN BENNETT. “DALLAS-FORT WORTH is going to love CONNECTED K”
KSCS has been re-tooling its morning show since the retirement of longtime co-host TERRY DORSEY in DECEMBER (NET NEWS 12/9).
“I knew from the moment I first met CONNECTED K that she was someone I wanted on our team,” said cluster OM JR SCHUMANN. “Her passion and enthusiasm for radio is exactly what we’re looking for to continue to take this station to new levels.”
SCHUMANN added that he's still looking for a co-host position for KSCS mornings and candidates are encouraged to apply.
“I am ecstatic to join the KSCS family and help to highlight social media within CUMULUS DALLAS/FORT WORTH," commented MAIDA. "Social media gives us such an amazing marketing tool and when used to its full potential, it can dramatically increase brand awareness. There's definitely a secret sauce and we're about to spread it all over DALLAS/FORT WORTH!”
She’ll make her debut on KSCS effective MONDAY, MARCH 9th.
Back at KKBQ, COX/HOUSTON OM JOHNNY CHIANG tells ALL ACCESS he plans to fill MAIDA’s position; interested candidates should send materials to CHIANG here.
