ALPHA MEDIA has re-branded Adult Hits WGTZ/DAYTON from “FLY 92.9” to “SOFT ROCK 92.9," which will continue to play many artists from FLY 92.9’s decades spanning library, from the ‘70s and ‘80s through today, promising “more music, less talk.”
Current on-air hosts DAN EDWARDS and DANIELLE will be joined by DAYTON radio veteran, PAUL ELLIS, starting MONDAY, MARCH 2nd. EDWARDS will do 6-10a, ELLIS will man the middays from 10a-3p, and DANIELLE will move to 3-7p.
“We are thrilled to be able to fill this music void in the DAYTON market and bring a live-and-local connection to the community at the same time with our stellar on-air lineup,” ALPHA MEDIA EVP/Programming SCOTT MAHALICK said.
"We have wanted to rebrand our station for a while to reflect the direction our music has been moving in,” PD BRAD WALDO said. “SOFT ROCK 92.9 is about variety and fun -- whether you’re listening at work, at home, or in your car, we want to create the perfect music mix for our listeners!”
“SOFT ROCK 92.9 will be the station everyone listens to at work,” ALPHA MEDIA/DAYTON Market Manager JOHN KING added. “Our formula is simple: DJs who actually live in and know about DAYTON, a great music mix, and less talk getting in the way of everything!”
