HOWIE CARR will return to ENTERCOM News-Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON next MONDAY (3/16), this time with the station being an affiliate of his syndicated afternoon show rather than as an employee. CARR, whose show will be back in the 3-7p (ET) slot, left WRKO on NOVEMBER 7th and has been airing his syndicated show on crosstown WALLIS COMMUNICATIONS News-Talk WMEX-A.
ENTERCOM BOSTON VP/Market Manager PHIL ZACHARY said, “As the holidays passed, it became obvious to me that WRKO and HOWIE belong together. It’s that quirky relationship that everyone says will never last but ends up enduring longer than most because both partners enhance the other’s strengths and talents.”
CARR, the BOSTON HERALD columnist whose radio show began at WRKO in 1994, said, “I’m happy to return to WRKO. Not only does it offer a great signal with full market coverage and better programming, but it’s also the original home of my show.”
