Among the 38 iOS apps that will be compatible with the APPLE Watch when it launches on APRIL 24th will be ESPN, NPR ONE, SHAZAM, CNN, and MLB.COM AT BAT.
The apps, along with the NEW YORK TIMES app, music player PACEMAKER DJ, and movie ticket vendor FANDANGO, are the only media-related on the list of apps that have been announced as working with the device, which requires a connection with an APPLE iPHONE 6 or 6 Plus to run the programs. NPR ONE and PACEMAKER DJ are the only apps to indicate playback of audio within the apps, and SHAZAM will extend the app's ability to identify music to the watch.
