Paul K. Scripps Retiring From Scripps Co. Board, Charles Bermonde Nominated As Replacement

PAUL K. SCRIPPS, the company's former VP of Newspapers, is retiring from the Board of Directors of THE E.W. SCRIPPS COMPANY when his term expires in MAY. CHARLES BARMONDE, a private investor and great-great-grandson of founder E.W. SCRIPPS, has been nominated to replace SCRIPPS on the board; he is also the son of board member MARY MCCABE PEIRCE.
Shareholders will vote on BARMONDE's nomination at the company's MAY 4th shareholder annual meeting.
