More info is leaking out concerning APPLE's plans for a relaunched BEATS service. MUSICALLY.COM reports, "APPLE is paying music journalists to write contextual copy around thousands of steaming playlists and now new screengrabs from the developer beta of iOS 8.4 suggest a major reboot of the native Music app for iPHONE and iPAD. The pre-release software comes with a new visual aesthetic as well as a retooling of iTUNES RADIO, its PANDORA-style offering which launched in 2013 with huge fanfare but which APPLE has subsequently been very quiet about, only taking it to the U.S. and AUSTRALIA so far."
The report notes, "Among the key changes to the app are those letting users customize playlists with images from their own photo libraries and a single-tap option to play full albums rather than navigating a track list. Recently added music is placed at the top of the library by default to make it easier to find while favorites on iTUNES RADIO is made more prominent and the Features option has lists that can be hand-curated or generated from a listener’s play habits."
