Longtime HUBBARD Country WIL/ST. LOUIS morning personality CORNBREAD has announced via his FACEBOOK page that he’s leaving the station to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family. CORNBREAD’s final show will be FRIDAY (4/24) and typically, he’ll exit stage right in grand fashion, hosting “CORNBREAD’s World’s Largest Farewell Pajama Party” at BALLPARK VILLAGE in downtown ST. LOUIS.
CORNBREAD arrived at WIL in 2004 and quickly established himself as a force in mornings for ST. LOUIS, garnering big ratings and national recognition, with CMA, ACM and MARCONI awards for Personality of the Year. His charitable efforts made national news too, with his recruitment of thousands of listeners for his “TEAM BREADHEAD,” supporting the "KOMEN ST. LOUIS RACE FOR THE CURE” and “CORNBREAD’s KIDS CRUSADE” on behalf of ST. LOUIS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL. WIL PD GREG MOZINGO tells ALL ACCESS an announcement regarding CORNBREAD’s successor is coming soon.
“While we respect CORNBREAD’s decision to put his family first, we really hate to see him go,” said HUBBARD/ST. LOUIS VP/Market Mgr. JOHN KIJOWSKI. “The entire team at HUBBARD RADIO ST. LOUIS wishes him well in his future endeavors.”
