HORIZON BROADCASTING GROUP/CENTRAL OREGON GSM KENN BROWN has announced his retirement from broadcasting, effective JUNE 30th.
“It’s been a great pleasure to work with an extraordinary leader like KENN the past three years,” said HBG Pres./CEO KEITH SHIPMAN. “KENN has done a tremendous job building a strong sales organization as our GSM and leaves a solid foundation for future success. The radio industry will miss him greatly.”
“I’ve been very fortunate to enjoy a wonderful career in radio,” said BROWN, who will relocate with his wife JUDE to PORTLAND, OR to be closer to family. “But, the time has come for me to relax, spend more time with my family and do some travelling. It’s been a great run and I’m thankful to close out my tenure in this business with HORIZON BROADCASTING GROUP and its talented staff.”
“I’m delighted to announce that KENN’s successor will come from within our organization. NANCY WIRTH has prepared herself well to lead our sales team and has a bright future in broadcast management,” said SHIPMAN. WIRTH will transition into her new role as GSM during the next 60 days.
“I am excited for the opportunity to lead an extraordinary sales team and continue to build the success and strength of HORIZON BROADCASTING GROUP,” said WIRTH. “KENN BROWN has been a great mentor and leader, and though I can't say I intend to fill his shoes, I am very proud to utilize my passion and experience to grow the success of not only HBG but the companies we work for.”
