UNIVERSAL PICTURES FILM MUSIC and NBCUNIVERSAL MUSIC have launched NBCUNIVERSALMUSIC.COM.
The site is designed to make it easy for music users, including music supervisors, advertising agencies, trailer houses and music editors, among others, to conduct searches easily and locate the UNIVERSAL FILM MUSIC they require.
In addition to selections of the most popular and critically acclaimed music from the century-old NBCUNIVERSAL MUSIC catalog, the site includes assets from a number of different divisions within NBCUNIVERSAL, including UNIVERSAL PICTURES, FOCUS FEATURES, UNIVERSAL ICGTURES HOME ENTERTAIN and select legacy NBCUNIVERSAL television programs. Much of the vast catalog includes ACADEMY AWARD-winning scores and songs.
The site contains music from classic titles such as "Frankenstein," "To Kill A Mockingbird," "Vertigo," "Jaws, "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial," "Schindler's List," "Atonement," "King Kong," "Brokeback Mountain," "Unbroken," "The Theory of Everything" and films in the "Fast & Furious," "Bourne" and "Despicable Me" series.
Songs include the classics "Don't You (Forget About Me)" from "The Breakfast Club," "Car Wash" from "Car Wash," and, more recently, the international sensation "Happy" from "Despicable Me 2." The NBCUNIVERSAL MUSIC catalog is also home to select classic legacy TV-show themes, including those from "Ironside," "Knight Rider," "Miami Vice" and "Law & Order."
Each piece of music on the site has been tagged with customized metadata (music descriptors) that are designed to make searches fast, fun and concise. With the push of a button, you can contact the creative staff with specific search needs, or the licensing staff once you have selected the right music for your project.
NBCUNIVERSALMUSIC.com is accessible from any computer, smart phone, or other online device. To download music, send files and playlists, and take advantage of the additional capabilities the site offers, you must be logged in to your account (contact at the address below for more information on setting up an account).
In the coming weeks and months, NBCUNIVERSALMUSIC.com will continue to be enhanced, including adding more music and special features.
