ABC-TV has re-upped its weekly series “NASHVILLE,” paving the way for season four of the soap opera depicting the trials, tribulations and interwoven personal lives of Country music’s brightest stars and biggest powerbrokers -- albeit fictional ones. The renewal announcement comes days after the state of TENNESSEE promised $8 million towards the show’s filming in NASHVILLE -- the actual one. Additionally, MUSIC CITY’s real-life Mayor KARL DEAN (as opposed to the show’s TEDDY CONRAD) is said to be trying to toss another $500,000 into the hat.
An estimated 500 people are full-time employees of the show during production, with 80% of the crew locally based. And now that we’ve solved the cliffhanger regarding NASHVILLE's survival, you can all go back to sweating over whether or not DEACON CLAYBOURNE will be killed off in next week's season finale.
