Roc Nation/Def Jam Celebrate Romans' L.A. Debut

THURSDAY (5/17) night was unseasonably cool night as L.A. finally received some much-needed rain, but that didn't put a damper on the fun as ROC NATION and DEF JAM RECORDS presented a night with the U.K. singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist ROMANS in a very special show case at the HOLLYWOOD's legendary SAYERS CLUB.  

The evening started around the corner at Italian eatery AVENTINE.  Inside, the swank new nightspot featured weathered brick walls, beautiful murals and an exposed beam ceiling over a colonial, hand-carved wooden bar. Industry folk from across the country chatted and enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeuvres as music played.  Afterward, everyone made their way to SAYERS for the highlight of the evening.  

The venue is a great spot to enjoy an intimate showcase. It provided the perfect setting to see this exciting talent, up close, in a performance that could be summed up in three words:  He. Killed. It.  

ROMANS' music is a mix of Soul, Pop and Rock. His voice is a powerful instrument, his delivery passionate. With a strong band and background vocalists, he performed several songs from his upcoming album, providing a bit of back story in between each. The set opened with "Life In Monochrome" and included four others, including his upcoming single, "Uh Huh," and the final song "Silence."
