Miami TV And Radio Anchor Kelley Mitchell Dies At 58

Condolences to family and friends of former MIAMI radio and television news anchor KELLEY MITCHELL, who died suddenly MONDAY (5/11) at her home in MIAMI SHORES, FL at 58.
MITCHELL, who was most recently at MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS News-Talk WLRN-F/MIAMI until departing in JANUARY and previously anchored at ABC affiliate WPLG-TV and, most memorably, as RICK SANCHEZ's co-anchor at FOX affiliate WSVN-TV in the '90s, had battled breast cancer over a decade ago and suffered a collapsed lung last year. She filled in at iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WIOD-A this APRIL and had worked in television at NBC affiliate KTVY (now KFOR-TV)/OKLAHOMA CITY, NBC affiliate WDIV-TV/DETROIT, and NBC affiliate WPXI-TV/PITTSBURGH before joining WSVN in 1992.
