Acoustic Fingerprints Added To SurferNetwork

Internet streaming vendor SURFERNETWORK introduces an new portfolio of Intellectual Property based on the association of radio or television broadcasting with acoustic fingerprinting technology used to identify broadcast content for multiple purposes. The IP portfolio held between Co-Founder HARRY E. EMERSON and SurferNETWORK currently includes 19 U.S. patents, with three other patents allowed but not yet issued in an advanced Streaming Media portfolio.
According to EMERSON, "While exploring the development of a proprietary solution for an acoustical fingerprinting system to improve our streaming operations for radio broadcasters, I created an architecture and method of operation that offers significant improvements over the state of the art in acoustic fingerprinting."
Asked about this new patent portfolio, company Pres. WILLIAM GRYWALSKI said, "SURFERNETWORK has always been a leader in streaming, and this new portfolio again confirms that position."
