THE CHERRY PARTY, the label from noted A&R executive JOLENE CHERRY, has signed a new agreement with RED DISTRIBUTION for digital and physical distribution in the U.S. and CANADA.
THE CHERRY PARTY, which was incubated as a joint venture imprint through SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT's RED ASSOCIATED LABELS and is now an independent label, is home to a diverse roster of artists.
Commented RED SVP/Product Development ALAN BECKER: "JOLENE CHERRY's experience and background as a successful pop music A&R executive and the addition of THE CHERRY PARTY will add greatly to RED DISTRIBUTION's efforts to grow this aspect of its label group and repertoire. With this move, RED DISTRIBUTION solidifies another core commitment (to a radio driven formula for success) and strengthens its #1 position in the independent marketplace. We enthusiastically welcome THE CHERRY PARTY to RED DISTRIBUTION."
Previously SVP/A&R at UNIVERSAL MUSIC, CHERRY originally had STREAMLINE RECORDS’ VINCENCE HERBERT develop LADAY GAGA. She also served as SVP A&R at ATLANTIC RECORDS. Before that, as music supervisor, she executive produced a string of successful soundtrack projects and was primarily known for her expertise in rock music. CHERRY started her music career in promotion and publishing with several successful publishing joint ventures. She has tapped music executive JOSEPH CHARLES to serve as GM of the label and GILLIAN ARDITI on the A&R/Creative side.
