Also, ASCAP has filed a Petition for Reconsideration of the FCC's grant of PANDORA RADIO's purchase of Hot AC KXMZ (HITS 102.7)/BOX ELDER-RAPID CITY, SD from CONNOISSEUR MEDIA for $600,000, according to LAW360. And KZLZ, INC,'s attempt to move KWCX-F/WILLCOX, AZ to TANQUE VERDE, AZ (TUCSON) has been dismissed by the applicant pursuant to JOURNAL BROADCAST CORP.'s Petition to Deny claiming that the facilities specified for the move under the 2009 construction permit were not built by the AUGUST 27, 2012 deadline, contrary to the License to Cover application filed 5 days before the deadline by KZLZ, INC. The new facility would have knocked JOURNAL's K285DL/TUCSON off the air; KZLZ's response showed a mobile tower in a pickup truck that JOURNAL says transmitted only on AUGUST 22, 2013.
The Commission also dismissed the license renewal application of GREAT LAKES COMMUNITY BROADCASTING, INC. for W205BZ/ADRIAN, MI for failure to respond to an APRIL 23rd letter asking for provision of an explanation for 100% owner JAMES MCCLUSKEY's character issues, including being "a party to numerous applications subject to adverse determinations of rule violations, statutory violations, misrepresentation and lack of candor on his part."
