Headliner DIERKS BENTLEY and songwriters CRAIG WISEMAN, RODNEY CLAWSON, SARAH BUXTON, CHRIS TOMPKINS, and MATT DRAGSTREM joined with ABC-TV's "NASHVILLE" stars CHRIS CARMACK, LENNON AND MAISY, and CHARLES ESTEN along with WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist COLE SWINDELL for the "11TH ANNUAL STARS FOR SECOND HARVEST BENEFIT CONCERT." The fundraising event took place TUESDAY night (6/9) at the newly renovated RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE.
The nearly sold-out concert raised more than $140,000 for the charity organization. In total, almost $900,000 has been raised through the annual show, which has provided over 3.5 million meals to the one-in-six MIDDLE TENNESSEANS at risk of hunger. In addition to the money raised via the charity concerts, WISEMAN's personal contribution and the contributions of his Country music friends now totals more than one million dollars in support of SECOND HARVEST. "Through a fun-filled event with the best names in music, we are able to make a real difference in the lives of so many who just hope for a meal," explained WISEMAN. "We have incredible support from the artists, from our sponsor O'CHARLEY'S, and the amazing fans."
