Former AMERICAN IDOL winner JORDIN SPARKS gave fans a preview of what they can expect to hear on her upcoming new album, "Right Here, Right Now," during her performance on the HONDA STAGE at the iHEARTRADIO THEATER in LOS ANGELES last night. SPARKS charmed the audience, performing classics, “No Air” and “Battlefield” as well as new favorites, “Double Tap” and “It Ain’t You.” Hosted by iHEARTMEDIA’s KEVIN MANNO, the event provided insight on the direction and inspiration of SPARKS’ new album.
SPARKS came out in full force, thanking the crowd for being there before jumping into a dance-heavy performance of the unreleased new track, “Right Here, Right Now.”
“Sometimes life is great, full of rainbows and butterflies and sometimes it’s not so great," she told the audience, before dedicating her song, "Battlefield," to those in attendance, adding, “If you’re going through something right now, this song is for you”
SPARKS explained that she had the opportunity to dive deep into her writing on the upcoming album and was able to team up with many artists that she greatly respected, including BABYFACE, who she collaborated with crafting her new track, “They Don’t Give,” which she explained was inspired by being in a relationship that other people didn’t understand. But in the end, all that mattered was that the two people in the relationship knew what they had was great.
After performing the classic, “Tattoo," JORDIN playfully mock-INSTAGRAMed a photo on-stage with her dancers, closing the show with a rendition of, “No Air,” encouraging the audience to sing along.
