CBS RADIO News WINS-A/NEW YORK anchor LANE BAJARDI and his wife KIM CARDINAL were ordered by a HUDSON COUNTY, NJ Superior Court judge to pay $225,000 in legal fees to the bloggers they sued in a failed defamation case, reports the NEW YORK POST.
The couple sued HOBOKEN zoning board member and "GRAFIX AVENGER" blogger NANCY PINCUS and blogger ROMAN BRICE for defamation in posts from 2011 and 2012, including Photoshopping BAJARDI in prison stripes and handcuffs and writing that the couple "suck as parents." Judge PATRICK ARRE criticized the BAJARDIS for "suing first and thinking later,' and said that the plaintiff's conduct "at a minimum demonstrates bad faith, and approaches a fraud upon the Court."
CARDINAL told the POST, “This case has always been about hatred and lies. My family has been under assault now for six years by members of one of the most powerful political machines in the country. In HOBOKEN, HUDSON COUNTY, if a person chooses to exercise his or her constitutional rights and petition their government, they surrender their civil rights and become targets for life.”
