The SLC DIVESTITURE TRUST II (via trustee JIM BURGOYNE), set up in 2010 to spin off stations from SIMMONS MEDIA after its acquisition of three MILLCREEK BROADCASTING/3 POINT MEDIA stations in the SALT LAKE CITY market, is selling Regional Mexican KEGH (LA RAZA, formerly a simulcast of Sports KALL-A)/WOODRUFF, UT and boosters in SALT LAKE CITY, OGDEN, BOUNTIFUL, and PROVO to AASAA MEDIA LLC for $1.8 million plus an LMA before closing.
In other filings with the FCC, MT COMMUNICATIONS LLC has requested a Silent STA for KRDS/SILVERTON, CO after the station lost its lease at its building.
And RIVERVIEW BAPTIST CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS has closed on the swap of K213DP/RICHLAND, WA to WALLA WALLA UNIVERSITY for WEST VALLEY TRANSLATOR ASSOCIATION's K201AS/YAKIMA, which is being assigned to the university in consideration for "past technical and financial support."
Also, the construction permit for EVANGEL CATHEDRAL OF SPARTANBURG low power FM WEIL-LP/SPARTANBURG, SC has been cancelled at the permittee's request.
In CANADA, the CBC has received approval to add an FM rebroadcasting transmitter in LAKE LOUISE, AB (at BANFF NATIONAL PARK) to retransmit the programming of CBC RADIO ONE affiliate CBR-A/CALGARY. The LAKE LOUISE station will operate at 103.9 FM with 130 watts at -413.7 meters above average terrain and will replace service presently offered by LAKE LOUISE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, a translator service that is closing down.
