The NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME (NSHOF) will induct ROSANNE CASH, MARK JAMES, EVEN STEVENS, and CRAIG WISEMAN to the HALL during the 45th ANNIVERSARY NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME GALA on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11th. The four will join 196 existing members of the elite organization during the celebration at NASHVILLE's MUSIC CITY CENTER. Tickets for the celebration are available by contacting NSHOF Executive Director MARK FORD.
CASH -- who joins her father, legendary Country star JOHNNY CASH, in the NSHOF -- has popularized many of her own compositions, including "Seven Year Ache," "Blue Moon With Heartache," and "Hold On," and is the current artist-in-residence at the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM (NET NEWS 7/8). JAMES' songwriting credits include hits for B.J. THOMAS, ELVIS PRESLEY, and WILLIE NELSON; STEVENS has penned hits for EDDIE RABBITT, KENNY ROGERS, and CONWAY TWITTY; and WISEMAN is the tunesmith behind popular cuts from TIM MCGRAW, BROOKS & DUNN, and KENNY CHESNEY.
"NASHVILLE remains the primary destination for anyone with an appreciation of songwriters and the art of songwriting," stated NSHOF Chairman of the Board PAT ALGER. "Since 1970, the legacy of those great songwriters has been celebrated and preserved by the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME. Each year only a few are elected to this high honor, and this year we are proud to welcome the class of 2015: MARK JAMES and CRAIG WISEMAN in the Songwriter category; EVEN STEVENS in the Veteran Songwriter category, and ROSANNE CASH as our Songwriter/Artist."
