KLOS Adds Ken Anthony To Weekend Lineup
August 7, 2015 at 11:50 AM (PT)
CUMULUS MEDIA Classic Rock KLOS/LOS ANGELES has added ALL ACCESS Rock Editor KEN ANTHONY to its weekend on-air lineup. ANTHONY was the PD for KLOS in 1991 and 1992 and will return to the station to do a SATURDAY 6a to 10a shift.
KEITH CUNNINGHAM, KLOS PD and CUMULUS Corporate PD/Rock Formats said, "KEN ANTHONY earned his MBA in rock radio a long time ago, so bringing him into the fold was a no brainer. He's a former KLOS PD, consultant, and killer air talent. Adding him to the KLOS lineup is like adding another shutdown closer to the bullpen. He gets SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, he knows the history of the brand, and will fit in perfectly on his return to The Rock of SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, 95.5 KLOS."
ANTHONY's first official day will be this SATURDAY, AUGUST 8th, which the L.A. City Council is honoring as "95.5 KLOS '80s Rock Day" in the City of LOS ANGELES (NET NEWS 8/6).
ANTHONY said, "After programming KLOS back in the day, I've always had a soft spot for the station and PD KEITH CUNNINGHAM is doing an awesome job rocking SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA again. Thanks to KEITH for letting me play rock on the radio again and officially debuting during this 'Pour Some 80s On Me' Weekend. Ironically, I started my rock radio career at the now defunct KSJO/SAN JOSE in the 80s....when this music was actually new! Special thanks to my ALL ACCESS boss JOEL DENVER for letting me play radio on the weekends. Let's RAWK dude!"
