Report: FBI Said Bubba's Ex-Producer 'Relevant' To Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Leak
August 11, 2015 at 1:12 PM (PT)
Former BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE producer MATT "SPICE BOY" LOYD is named in court documents as having been involved in some way with the leaking of the infamous HULK HOGAN sex tape, and FOX O&O WTVT (TV) (FOX 13)/TAMPA reports that the TAMPA POLICE have picked up the investigation of a LOS ANGELES attorney for the alleged extortion of HOGAN after the FBI closed the case.
FOX 13 reports that the FBI ran a sting operation on attorney KEITH DAVIDSON in 2012 after HOGAN went to the Bureau with his extortion claim; the station says that the FBI has confirmed that LOYD was "relevant to the case" and has provided information to agents, but the U.S. Attorney's Office never filed charges. LOYD, who moved on to host his own show in 2012, was fired from COX RADIO Talk WHPT (102.5 THE BONE)/TAMPA in AUGUST 2013, and the reason for the firing was the subject of much speculation at the time; LOYD later testified in the lawsuit brought by TODD SCHNITT against BUBBA.
BUBBA's show now airs on BEASLEY Rock WBRN (BUBBA 98.7)/TAMPA and in syndication.
