Prices Disclosed For Alpha-Digity, Max Media-Seven Mountains Deals; Radio Disney Sells Philadelphia Market AM

The ALPHA MEDIA purchase of 116 radio stations from DEAN GOODMAN's DIGITY has been filed with the FCC, and the contract shows that the previously undisclosed price for the package is $264 million. The deal involves 12 applications by various DIGITY licensee entities, including PALM BEACH BROADCASTING LICENSE LLC, GRINNELL LICENSE CO, LLC, NEWTON LICENSE CO, LLC, FAIRFIELD LICENSE CO, LLC, MOBERLY/MACON LICENSE CO, LLC, CAMERON/BETHANY LICENSE CO, LLC, FESTUS/FARMINGTON LICENSE CO, LLC, WAYNESVILLE/LEBANON LICENSE CO, LLC, CHRISTINE CP CO, LLC, CLINTON LICENSE CO, LLC, and NM LICENSE, LLC; ALPHA is also assuming Shared Services Agreements and Option Agreements with MATRIX BROADCASTING to provide back-office support and hold assignable options to buy AC WZSR (STAR 105.5)/WOODSTOCK, IL and Classic Rock WFXF (103.9 THE FOX)/DUNDEE, IL as well as an LMA to operate the former JAMES CRYSTAL RADIO AM stations in WEST PALM BEACH (News-Talk WFTL-A/WEST PALM BEACH an Sports WMEN-A (640 SPORTS)/ROYAL PALM BEACH) through AUGUST 31st.
In other filings with the FCC, the previously-undisclosed price being paid by KRISTIN CANTRELL's SEVEN MOUNTAINS MEDIA/SOUTHERN BELLE LLC to MAX MEDIA for Sports WVSL (ESPN RADIO SELINSGROVE)/RIVERSIDE, PA; Country simulcast WWBE (B98.3)/MIFFLINBURG-WYGL/ELIZABETHVILLE, PA; and Hot AC WFYY (Y106.5)/BLOOMSBURG, PA is $3.8 million, according to the contract filed with the FCC. As in CANTRELL's other deals, the licenses are being assigned to SOUTHERN BELLE and equipment, agreements, intangibles, and records are being assigned to SEVEN MOUNTAINS MEDIA.
RADIO DISNEY GROUP, LLC is selling WWJZ-A/MOUNT HOLLY, NJ-PHILADELPHIA to STARBOARD MEDIA FOUNDATION, INC. for $3.5 million.
PRESTIGE COMMUNICATIONS INC. is selling six full-power stations and a translator in ILLINOIS to VIRDEN BROADCASTING CORP. The stations include Classic Rock WJEQ (CLASSIC 103), Top 40 WKAI (K-100), News-Talk WLRB-A-W279CR, and Alternative WNLF (MODERN ROCK 95.9)/MACOMB, IL; Country WLMD (HOT COUNTRY 104.7)/BUSHNELL, IL; and Oldies WMQZ/COLCHESTER, IL for $725,000 plus a time brokerage agreement before closing.
CATALINA ISLAND CONSERVANCY has closed on the donation of noncommercial KCFH/TWO HARBORS (CATALINA ISLAND), CA to COMMON FREQUENCY.
JOHN REGH has closed on the assignment of K245AU/EAST QUINCY, CA to RICHARD COMRAS for no consideration.
And JAMES S. BUMPOUS d/b/a BIG BEND BROADCASTING has closed on the sale of FM translator K293BF/COMANCHE TRAIL, TX to CARMEN CARMOLEJO for $219,500.
Also, in a deal yet to appear in the FCC database, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is selling Contemporary Christian WLVO/SAN CARLOS PARK-FORT MYERS, FL to SUN BROADCASTING INC. for $3,045,000. EMF recently bought WDLV (formerly WNPS)/FORT MYERS from CLASSICAL SOUTH FLORIDA in its deal to buy the latter's SOUTH FLORIDA FMs. HADDEN AND ASSOCIATES served as exclusive broker for the deal.
And DIX COMMUNICATIONS is putting two of its newspapers and four radio stations up for sale, reports the WOOSTER DAILY RECORD/NORDONIA HILLS NEWS-LEADER. Up for sale are the DEFIANCE (OH) CRESCENT-NEWS, the FRANKFORT (KY) STATE JOURNAL, and Country WFRB, AC WTBO-A-W289BR (105.7 THE RIVER), News-Talk WFRB-A, and Classic Rock WKGO (GO 106)/FROSTBURG-CUMBERLAND, MD.
