National Radio Day Campaign To Emphasize LPFMs

AUGUST 20th is NATIONAL RADIO DAY, and this year SEATTLE-based nonprofit BROWN PAPER TICKETS is partnering with over 30 noncommercial LPFMs around the country to help them build awareness in their individual markets.
“This is the first coordinated national event in honor of National Radio Day,” said SABRINA ROACH for BROWN PAPER TICKETS and lead organizer for NATIONAL RADIO DAY. “I wanted to introduce an opportunity for all kinds of non-commercial stations to work together and to engage their communities by celebrating radio with listeners and independent producers. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the new low-power stations by working on a common project together.”
