RADIO DISNEY GROUP, LLC is selling KMIK-A/TEMPE-PHOENIX, AZ to JACOB BARKER's GABRIELLE BROADCASTING LICENSEE I, LLC for $1.4 million. BARKER is the GM at crosstown SEWANEE PHOENIX LICENSEE, LLC Religion KXEG-A (1280 THE TRUMPET)/PHOENIX.
In other filings with the FCC, QUEEN CITIES BROADCASTING LLC is selling Hot AC WAOL (99.5 THE EDGE)/RIPLEY, OH to DREAMCATCHER COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $340,000. The buyer has programmed the station under an LMA since 2011.
MARANATHA MINISTRIES/JOY COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling W289BY/MILLVILLE, NJ to RITMO BROADCASTING, LLC. for $31,500.
LIGHT OF LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for W234CG/BRUNSWICK, ME while it uses the station's antenna and tower as an emergency backup for WMDR/OAKLAND, ME.
And DECELLES-SMITH MEDIA, INC. has closed on the sale of Silent WEGP-A/PRESQUE ISLE, ME to THE PRESENCE RADIO NETWORK, INC. for $67,500.
Also, INCA COMMUNICATIONS INC.'s Petition for Reconsideration of the dismissal of its renewal application for Regional Mexican KXOL-A/BRIGHAM CITY, UT has been denied by the FCC. The license expired as a matter of law in NOVEMBER because the station was off the air for more than 12 consecutive months (due, the licensee said, to the illness of President and GM NICOLAS VICENTE). The station's license has been cancelled and calls deleted, although KXOL resumed broadcasts on APRIL 22nd.
In a deal yet to appear in the FCC database, ALPHA MEDIA is buying Classic Hits KDES/CATHEDRAL CITY, CA and Hot AC KPSI-F (MIX 100.5)/PALM SPRINGS from RR BROADCASTING for an undisclosed price. ALPJA MEDIA Chairman LARRY WILSON said, “We’re excited to bring these stations into the ALPHA family. The extraordinary community involvement of RIC and ROZENE SUPPLE has blazed the way for these market leading radio stations making them the perfect live and local addition.” ALPHA is taking over operation under an LMA before closing.
