SCRIPPS Country WKTI (94.5 KTI COUNTRY)/MILWAUKEE has named DAYTON KANE as Program Manager/afternoons, effective MONDAY, AUGUST 31st. He arrives from WOODWARD COMMUNICATIONS Top 40 WKSZ/GREEN BAY, where he handled PD and morning show responsibilities. WKTI Programming was previously being handled by SCRIPPS/MILWAUKEE VP/GM TOM LANGMYER.
Concurrently, JILLENE KHAN has been hired for evenings. She was most recently hosting afternoons at iHEARTMEDIA Country WLLR/QUAD CITIES IA-IL. KANE and KHAN are the first full time personalities to join KTI COUNTRY, which launched in MAY (NET NEWS 5/29).
“Our search has centered greatly on people with local connections, hit music experience and a love of Country music. Hiring DAYTON KANE, a MILWAUKEE native, who’s ready to come home and has been working just up the road, is a huge win for KTI COUNTRY,” said LANGMYER. “JILLENE, who is also from the Upper MIDWEST, is an exciting, up-and-coming broadcaster with an infectious personality that will do a great job hosting our live, local evening show.” Both KANE and KHAN will be in-house on MONDAY, AUGUST 31st and hit the airwaves TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th.
