Quincy Jones Honored With 'Desi Arnaz Pioneer Award' At Latin Songwriters Hall Of Fame 'La Musa Awards'

QUINCY JONES will be the recipient of the 2015 "DESI ARNAZ PIONEER AWARD," given out during the LATIN SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME's 3rd annual LA MUSA AWARDS, OCTOBER 15th at MIAMI BEACH's THE FILLMORE MIAMI BEACH JACKIE GLEASON THEATER.
The award (PREMIO PIONERO DESI ARNAZ) was created by the LATIN SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME in honor of the early television visionary, songwriter and entertainer, who pioneered the use of three cameras in the development of the groundbreaking comedy show "I Love Lucy," which he produced and starred in with wife LUCILLE BALL. The previous two recipients include NAT KING COLE and RAUL PABLO ALARCON, SR.
This year the six of the world's most influential HISPANIC songwriters and composers will be inducted into the HALL OF FAME, including COLOMBIA's HECTOR OCHOA CARDENAS, CUBA's EMILIO ESTEFAN, CHILE's MYRIAM HERNANDEZ, ARGENTINA's GUSTAVO SANTAOLALLA, EL SALVADOR's ALVARO TORRES and ARGENTINA's DIEGO TORRES.
The OCTOBER gala will feature moving tributes and musical performances by some of the industry's most important talents. Additional special honorees and presenters will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
