Kelly Ford Named Co-Host For 'America's Morning Show'
December 4, 2015 at 1:01 PM (PT)
CUMULUS Country WNSH/NEW YORK midday personality KELLY FORD is set to join BLAIR GARNER as co-host of the nationally syndicated “AMERICA’S MORNING SHOW” (AMS). FORD will now be a part of the ensemble that includes CHUCK WICKS and ROBIN MEADE.
“KELLY is the consummate professional and she is very much identified with the NASH brand,” said CUMULUS SVP/Content & Programming MIKE MCVAY. “She was the first voice on WNSH/NEW YORK city. Her move from middays to mornings is logical, given her long and very successful history as a morning talent in markets such as DENVER. She’s been a regular co-host fill-in on 'AMERICA’S MORNING SHOW’ with BLAIR GARNER. We’re lucky to have a strong bench at CUMULUS that allows us to make this move.”
FORD joined WNSH in FEBRUARY of 2013, following a 20-year reign in mornings at BONNEVILLE Country KYGO/DENVER (NET NEWS 2/21/2013).
"I am beyond thrilled to co-host ‘AMERICA'S MORNING SHOW’ with my friends BLAIR GARNER and CHUCK WICKS and to continue to be part of the NASH brand I love so much,” commented FORD. “My whole Country radio career has lead up to this fabulous opportunity to wake up loyal and passionate Country fans across the UNITED STATES. Big thanks to MIKE MCVAY, MAIRE MASON, CHAD LOPEZ and JOHN FOXX for believing in me and in the continued growth of NASH in NASHVILLE, NEW YORK and beyond.”
As a result of TODAY's (12/4) move, current co-host ASHLEY FIGUEROA and entertainment segment host ERIKA GRACE POWELL have both exited the show. Meanwhile, at WNSH, the search is on for a midday talent to succeed FORD. Interested parties should send materials to JOHN FOXX here.
