A former personality on COASTAL BROADCASTING OF LAROSE Sports KLRZ (ESPN 100.3)/NEW ORLEANS has been charged with identity theft for allegedly stealing information from ID cards submitted by contest winners at his former job with the CUMULUS cluster in NEW ORLEANS and using the information to establish COX CABLE pay-per-view accounts, reports the NEW ORLEANS ADVOCATE.
BRYAN BIENEMY, a former football reporter and staffer for KLRZ, was arrested WEDNESDAY (11/2) on 22 counts of identity theft in GRETNA, LA. Among his jobs at the CUMULUS cluster was to destroy the receipts and ID cards submitted by contest winners, but the police allegations say that he did not destroy the receipts and instead used them for the cable TV accounts, drawing suspicion when an account went into collection.
