Barry Keefe Dead At 62

Condolences to the family and friends of longtime CHICAGO radio newsman BARRY KEEFE, who died SUNDAY, JANUARY 3rd at his home in WHEATON, IL. He was 62, and best remembered for his 30 years as Dir./News and Public Affairs at WTMX.
ROBERT FEDER reports KEEFE, "is being remembered as a consummate broadcaster whose booming voice conveyed warmth and authority to morning-drive listeners for decades," adding, "he’d been fighting pancreatic cancer for about a year, according to his son, ALEX KEEFE, a former reporter for CHICAGO PUBLIC MEDIA WBEZ FM 91.5 who now works for VERMONT PUBLIC RADIO."
