Number Of Radio Stations Up (Except For AM) In FCC's December 31st Count

The FCC's Broadcast Station Totals figures as of DECEMBER 31, 2015 show the total number of full-power radio stations up by 10, from 15,470 to 15,480. AM totals were down from 4,692 to 4,684; FM commercial stations went up from 6,688 to 6,701; and FM noncommercial educational stations rose from 4,090 to 4,095.
The number of low power FM stations rose as well, from 1,364 to 1,433, as did the number of FM translators and boosters, from 6,422 to 6,506.
