WESTWOOD ONE's MICHAEL SAVAGE walks away with a victory in his case against TALK RADIO NETWORK, as the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear TRN's appeal of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in JULY that upheld his release from his contract with the syndicator.
SAVAGE sued in DECEMBER 2010 to free himself from his TRN contract and void TRN's right to match competing offers, and was awarded $863,454.92 plus other withheld earnings and ownership of his show archives in arbitration, and soon signed with CUMULUS MEDIA NETWORKS.
WND.COM reports that SAVAGE said, "After many, many years and over a million dollars of legal fees, justice has prevailed. TRN has never paid me one dime of the money they were supposed to pay me.”
