WARNER/CHAPPELL MUSIC (WCM) has appointed CHUCK GAMBLE VP/Catalog Promotions. Previously EVP of PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL RECORDS, GAMBLE will oversee the promotion of WARNER/CHAPPELL’s legacy catalog works, coordinating with those works’ songwriters or their estates to find new opportunities for their music.
“Our legacy songwriters have created some of WARNER/CHAPPELL’s most treasured works, and it is central to our mission that this timeless music receives the highest level of service,” WARNER/CHAPPELL CEO JON PLATT said. “We’ve had a long relationship with CHUCK through his role overseeing the music of GAMBLE & HUFF, and he’s demonstrated a unique talent for giving songs a long life, well beyond their initial release. We’re excited to have him join our team, and are confident he will be highly effective in creating new opportunities for our rich roster of songwriters.”
“It’s truly an honor to work alongside JON and the entire WARNER/CHAPPELL team,” said Gamble. “Music is in my blood and I have had the very fortunate opportunity to work for, and learn from, two of the most prolific songwriters in the world: Messrs. KENNETH GAMBLE and LEON HUFF. As such, I’m a passionate advocate for the rights of songwriters and rightsholder estates. It is my mission to find every possible avenue for them to reap the benefits of their hard work, and I look forward to applying my expertise to the wide range of incredible music that calls WARNER/CHAPPELL home.”
