KDAY/Los Angeles Parent Company Meruelo Media Ups Three Executives

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA-based MERUELO MEDIA has named IRMA BARRIOS VP/Media Sales across all its media platforms. Under her new and expanded leadership role that includes Rhythmic AC KDAY/LOS ANGELES, BARRIOS will be involved with content and operations while leading and innovating all media sales.
MERUELO MEDIA Pres. OTTO PADRON commented, "IRMA is a respected leader and a very creative ad-sales executive with deep ties in our SOCAL media community… I am certain that in her recently expanded role she will once again take us to new performance levels."
MERUELO MEDIA has named PADDY O'BRIEN Media Sales Manager overseeing all national and local media sales. In this new role, O'BRIEN will be responsible for developing national media sales while building strong local relationships to continue growing terrestrial, digital and non-traditional business.
Also at MERUELO MEDIA, Rhythmic AC KDAY/LOS ANGELES PD ADRIAN "AD" SCOTT has been promoted to VP/Programming and Content. In his new role, he will work on identifying new programming opportunities, formats and develop strategies to improve station ratings, on-air content, talent and branding.
PADRON commented on SCOTT's promotion saying, "AD is the right executive to lead the very challenging task of keeping KDAY true to its “Back in the Day” Hip-Hop brand and culture. His rare institutional perspective on our music, makes him the ideal curator of the original sound and legendary feel that has shaped our industry."
SCOTT has been a member of the KDAY team for over a decade and is also the talent director for KDAY's FRESH FEST, KRUSH GROOVE and other live KDAY concerts. SCOTT will be involved with research as a NIELSEN liaison for programming and media sales.
